## Supported Blood Glucose Metrics/Data

- Blood Glucose - mg/dL
- Meal Relationship - fasting, pre-meal, post-meal, unknown
- Comments - reading comments

> ℹ️ Reading comments are not supported for all blood glucose sources.

## Blood Glucose Goals and Events (Notifications)

Goal and event (notification) options vary by the Impact measurement type. The tables below show goal and notification options for blood glucose.

| Blood Glucose<br>*Any* | Reading count | Single value |

#### :info: Primary Goal:

The “primary goal” is the goal that determines which metrics or readings are in and out of range visually from the clinician dashboard. A single goal of this type must be present within the program in order for dashboard visuals (logbook and charts) to display readings or individual metrics as in or out of range. The “primary goal” is added by default when a new program is created with the corresponding measurement type.

“Keep all blood glucose levels between [low] and [high] mg/dL”

Measurement Type: `Blood Glucose - Any`

Goal Type: `Individual Reading Range`

Goal Usage: `Reviewer Cannot Disable`

### Events

| Metric | Trigger Type | Comparison | Recipient | Schedule |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Fasting Blood Glucose | Individual reading limit | Less than, More than | Provider, Participant | Every time, At most once per day |
| Fasting Blood Glucose | Average reading limit | Less than, More than | Provider, Participant | Window |
| Fasting Blood Glucose | Reading count | Less than, More than | Provider, Participant | Window |
| Pre-Meal Blood Glucose | Individual reading limit | Less than, More than | Provider, Participant | Every time, At most once per day |
| Pre-Meal Blood Glucose | Average reading limit | Less than, More than | Provider, Participant | Window |
| Pre-Meal Blood Glucose | Reading count | Less than, More than | Provider, Participant | Window |
| Post-Meal Blood Glucose | Individual reading limit | Less than, More than | Provider, Participant | Every time, At most once per day |
| Post-Meal Blood Glucose | Average reading limit | Less than, More than | Provider, Participant | Window |
| Post-Meal Blood Glucose | Reading count | Less than, More than | Provider, Participant | Window |
| Blood Glucose (Any) | Individual reading limit | Less than, More than | Provider, Participant | Every time, At most once per day |
| Blood Glucose (Any) | Average reading limit | Less than, More than | Provider, Participant | Window |
| Blood Glucose (Any) | Reading count | Less than, More than | Provider, Participant | Window |

## Blood Glucose Logbook and Charts (*Advanced Statistics)

The logbook view and chart views vary by the Impact measurement type. The examples below show the logbook view and chart view for blood glucose.

### *Advanced Statistics

Advanced Statistics are available in the clinician dashboard for the Blood Glucose measurement type. These statistics include the number of hyper and hypoglycemic events, the average number of readings taken per day, and other, more granular statistics.

*High/Low/In Range Statistics (and Hyper/Hypoglycemic Event Counts):*
These are driven off of the "required," Primary Goal for Blood Glucose - this is the glucose range goal (ex: "Keep all blood glucose levels between x and y mg/dL") that is automatically created when a Blood Glucose program is created.
1. This goal must be present in the program ("Available in Program" toggled on) for these statistics to populate.
2. This goal must also be set to "Clinician Cannot Disable" (Required) for these statistics to populate.

*Hyper and hypoglycemic event counts are also driven off of this same Blood Glucose Primary Goal and are needed to populate these counts as well.

*Tests per Day:*
Tests/Day = number of values in selected time window / (selected time window in hours / 24)

### Logbook

The logbook for the blood glucose measurement type displays with a date range dependent on the view range selected at the top of the clinician dashboard. Blood glucose values, meal relationship, and reading comments are shown. The comment icon, or the reading with a comment, can be selected to show the reading comment.

### Charts

The chart view for the blood glucose measurement type shows a timeline and a time of day chart with blood glucose reading values, meal relationship information, and reading comments. The date range for the charts is dependent on the view window selected at the top of the clinician dashboard. The reading value, reading timestamp, meal relationship, and reading comment are shown on datapoint click.
