## **Integration Summary**

Validic is excited to announce the addition of Polar to the Validic marketplace. Our new app integration supports the authentication and retrieval of a Polar user’s fitness and routine data, offering a seamless way to incorporate this data into your application.

**Why Polar?**

Polar heart rate monitors and performance sports watches are known globally for their durability and accuracy. Their products are designed for any activity, from swimming, cross-training, and yoga to tracking daily activity and calorie consumption.

## **Integration Details**

> ℹ️ Please note that Polar devices do not currently report the end user's local timezone. Validic will request the end user's local timezone during the authorization process and use this information to report a "utc_offset" value for Polar fitness and routine records.

- The Polar integration is compatible with all devices supported by the Polar Flow and Polar Beat iOS and Android mobile apps.
- Polar's API reports exercises (workouts) once they have been completed and reports a daily aggregation of steps, calories, etc**,** once the day is complete. Please expect routine records to be reported in their entirety the day after the activity is completed, at the earliest, rather than being aggregated and updated throughout the day.
- Polar's API reports metrics directly from the recording device only and only reports activity recorded after the user has granted an organization access to their data.
- No historical data is available.
- Polar's API will not report any manual activities recorded in the web or mobile app or any manual user edits to device-recorded activities. For this reason, all Polar fitness and routine records will be reported as Validated = TRUE.
